Dundee and Angus College approved as VetSkill Centre

VetSkill is pleased to announce that Dundee and Angus College have joined us as an approved centre to deliver the VetSkill Diploma in Patient Care Assistance SCQF Level 5.

The VetSkill Quality Assurance Team are delighted to welcome the team at D&A, who have been a pleasure to work with throughout approval. The QA team are very much looking forward to continuing to work together with D&A and supporting them through delivery of VetSkill qualifications.

Head of Curriculum and Quality (Animals, Land & Environment) at D&A, Chris Ditchburn BVMS MRCVS, shared “We are delighted at D&A to have received centre approval from VetSkill, who have been incredibly supportive throughout the process. We are excited to launch the first of our two VetSkill programmes: Patient Care Assistance and shortly, First Aid for Cats and Dogs, with more to come in the future. The Patient Care qualification is ideal for those working or aiming to work as Animal Care Assistants, offering hands-on learning and a path to Veterinary Nursing. Our First Aid programme, available in evening and weekend classes, will be perfect for pet owners and professionals in grooming, pet-sitting, and rescue shelters looking to boost their skills.”

VetSkill is an awarding organisation, recognised by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations (Ofqual) Regulation, the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) Regulation and Scottish Qualifications Authority Accreditation (SQAA). VetSkill is an end-point assessment organisation recognised by Ofqual and the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE).
