VetSkill expands EPA portfolio with Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner approval

VetSkill is thrilled to welcome a new addition to its End-Point Assessment (EPA) offering, having now secured approval to assess apprentices on the ST0072 Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner standard.

The news reflects VetSkill’s continued mission to expand into further areas of demand for our training providers, with the Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship standard being particularly popular and relevant across many industries.

The EPA prepares apprentices to meet the requirements for the role of Customer Service Practitioner, and consists of three assessment methods, including an Apprentice Showcase, Practical Observation and Professional Discussion.

Customer Service Practitioners deliver high quality products and services to the customers of their organisation in any sector or organisation type. They are responsible for providing a quality service to customers from the workplace, digitally, or through going out into the customer’s own locality. These may be one-off or routine contacts and include dealing with orders, payments, offering advice, guidance and support, meet-and-greet, sales, fixing problems, after care, service recovery or gaining insight through measuring customer satisfaction.

Apprentices completing the standard will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and behaviours as well as product and/or service knowledge when delivering to their customers. They will provide service in line with the organisation’s customer service standards and strategy within appropriate regulatory requirements.

The apprenticeship’s broad applicability makes it a key credential across a wide range of sectors - including retail, hospitality, healthcare, public services, and finance - and due to this widespread demand, the standard sees consistently high enrolment figures each year. Customer service remains one of the most sought-after skills across UK industries.

Kayleigh Robinson, End-Point Assessment Lead at VetSkill, shares:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to expand our End-Point Assessment offer to include the Customer Service Practitioner standard. This marks an exciting step forward for VetSkill as we continue to grow into new sectors, supporting even more apprentices on their journey to success. It’s a fantastic opportunity to bring our quality assurance and learner-focused approach to a broader audience”.
